Embroidery ♥

Still busy. At home today and trying to "catch up." I have several posts I'd like to do, but need to be working on more important things right now. If I don't do these "chores" today I'll just keep feeling stressed and I'm really tired of feeling stressed.

I wanted to post a couple of pictures... I've rediscovered eMbROiDerY! My mother taught me many, many years ago. I've recently come across some great blogs with some embroidery pieces that I just loved so I decided to pick up the needle again. I'm a little rusty, but I'm learning new stitches and plan to do an embroidery sampler. My 15 year old daughter is even embroidering and is really good at it. I showed her a few stitches and she stitched a really nice little piece for me for my birthday. I'll post that picture later.

Been busy... and, oh yeah... I had a wreck!

I've been wanting to blog for days, but just haven't found the time.

I have lots of pictures of bargain finds, my birthday cookie (yes I had a birthday March 22,) works in progress and even

pictures of my smashed mini van to blog about...

I had a wreck yesterday. I'm okay, but my van is not. It was really scary. In my 30 years of driving I've never had a "real" wreck. A guy rear-ended me a couple of years ago in the rain, but it was nothing like smashing into another car (almost head-on) and knowing I was going to hit them and not be able to stop. Luckily I was only going about 40 miles an hour... still scary. After I got home and had picked up my kids from school I went in the bedroom and cried. I almost cried when my husband came to pick me up, but I held it in because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to stop. So, I held it in until it was just me and him. I just kept thinking what would my family do without me? I could have died today. I know... thoughts you don't want to have, but it could happen in a split second... life can change. I thanked God about a million times for keeping me safe and I tried to appreciate life a little more as I was going through my day today.

Here's a picture of my poor mini van. Even though a lot of mom's hate to drive a mini van... I have always loved mine.

Everybody drive careful!

Progress on my craft room

I've been spending a lot of time lately cleaning my junk of a storage building. I still have a lot of work to do, but it's coming along. I decided I wouldn't wait till it was finished {because it may never be finished since it IS still a storage building} to start crafting. I'm slowly bringing things from the house to my ~NEW CRAFT ROOM~ I'm so excited.
I had tons of clothes that my kids have outgrown and did not sell in our yard sale hanging up in the building so yesterday I bagged up SIX trash bags and 3 wal-mart bags full of clothes to take to our church. It looks a lot better... more space!

I piled a bunch of stuff in a container ... what a mess! See any goodies in there?

SUPPLIES!

~Projects I'm working on~

I just love this quote.....
I'm looking forward to posting some of my FINISHED projects
and
more pictures of
my craft room
as it becomes
just what I want.

My Morning.... random stuff

This post is just a bunch of random stuff that I wanted to show.
I bought two new, old bottles the other day at an antique mall. There is one booth that has old bottles for cheap. One was $2. and the other was $3.
More stuff to add to my "I've got plans" pile...

Here is my first attempt at mod podging a letter... I thought it turned out pretty good.
I want to do some that say E.A.T to put in my kitchen.
.... "L" for Lora

In my kitchen window this morning (or last night, don't remember)
A pretty new bloom... here comes spring!

Buff and Abigail trying to stay dry on the back porch this morning. More rain!
I think they might be a mom and dad in the near future. My husband had to have "the talk" with our 10 year old {I'm sure it was past time for the talk anyway} because he saw them.. um.... "gettin' busy" in the pasture.
Don't you think they'll have the most beautiful kittens? I can't wait!

AND.....
here is what I saw this morning when my son walked out of his bedroom.
I'd say this was definitely
BED HEAD!!
So funny... I had to take a picture.
He's gettin' a haircut this week!

Have a great week everyone~
