Meet Shammy (we didn't name her...but we thought we'd keep the name since she knows it.)

She was given to us by my son and daughter-in-law's friends who could no longer keep her.

I've never had an 'inside dog' ... It's an adjustment, but she's so, so sweet.

I think she's pretty happy with us :)

I've been working on some crafty things... 

I'm not finished. It needs something. ?
Not sure what though.

Maybe a vintage rhinestone earring in the middle?
A gathered piece of material around the edge?
I'm going to put a magnet on the back.  I think it will look cute on a fridge or a file cabinet.

My life in the past few months

I finally got a USB cord to download about a million pictures from my camera. Since I haven't been posting blogs  for the past SEVERAL months, here's what I've been doing.....




My son got married!

One of my daughters went to college!

My grand-son turned 2!

 Runny nose and chocolate mouth :)

My youngest, who is 13, is almost as tall as me!






My other daughter is graduating in May and going to the same college as her sister!

Spent time with family! 

Me and my kids (the youngest is missing)

My bird, who I named Blu, turned green! :) 






I've been working on cleaning up my storage building and packing things away... hoping to sell our house soon!







I've been buying pretty things....  (love, love, love this owl bowl from HomeGoods)

....and thrifting (I'm in the process of spraying him red!)






and always taking pictures of pretty flowers/plants/trees!

Well... I finished my project. I like how it turned out, but there is some smearing in the ink that I'm not too happy with. I always find lots of pictures online that I print out for my mixed media pieces, but when I mod podge them they usually smear. I finally googled it to see how to fix the problem. Clear acrylic sealer should do the trick! Unfortunately I didn't know this trick when I did this piece so I guess I'll just have to live with the smears. I plan to do some more of these (and I bought some sealer.)

 I think they're great gifts for teen girls. One of my daughters has already claimed this one :)

Here's how i made this work of art craft...

Found a pic of Audrey on Google images

Found the quote by her and typed it up and printed it out

Tore the picture so i wouldn't have straight edges

Cut out the quote

Bought a 6x6 3D stretched canvas (4 pack for cheap at Wally World)

Mod Podged it all (with a little smearing, but NO MORE SMEARS since I bought some acrylic sealer)

I'm thinking of adding ribbon for hanging on my next one. What do you think?
